I can see what those comments might induce.

Final update. Notice the 'full' recycle bin. In it is what's left of the 'pile of lumber' I used. lol

Then I'd suggest moving away from reflective surfaces or.....  X|

Looks quite nice Uvah. On the subject of smx I made a Knot Aaro one a while back. It is not 100% finished but I am wondering if anyone wants to give it a try and let me know if you think I am on the right track or I can just post a SS after work. Got to run now.

Post the SS JuniorCrooks. If you need someone to test it let me know. I'll be glad to help.

Here is the SS. I would like to know if I am on the right track with this. It is not finished. What I am not sure about are the guages. Should they have the rings around them or left more plain looking. If people like them then I would like to have that same border around the network histogram window. Just not sure if my graphics skills can pull it off.

Quite an interesting design. Those rings around the TCP in and out are fine. The ones around the gauges however look too thick. If you can make them thinner they'd look much better. As they are, to me anyway, it may not be true of others, the gauges are hard to read. The oval shouldn't be too much of a problem. Just take one of the thinner rings and use the transform scale function to lengthen it. It should work. And try to lighten them as the gauge image itself is partially obscured by the sheen of the rings. Other than that you got yourself a real winner. I'd snatch it up in a heartbeat. BTW ... makes mine look like a kindergarden exercise. lol

Need some input please. Buttons are making me wacky. If that's at all possible. More so than I already am that is. What's happening is the buttons 'move' slightly to one side. I try not to put them too close to avoid overlapping them. Now I think they're too far apart. Suggestions.

You were wacky when you got here....:annoyed:

I never made a SMX, but I'd try to get the uptime text inside the black area a bit more

What buttons do you need input on?

Junior, send me the graphic you want that same border on and I'll see what I can do. I think I know what you need.

The ones up top that look like plates on holders. They're very unusual and what do you mean wacky when I ...... never mind. You're right. Mouse over them and they shift to the left about an eighth of an inch. How will you do the oval? I'm curious.

Uvah I think your right about the guage rings being to thick but there are things you said that I am scratching my head over. What do you mean that the guage is obscured by the sheen of the rings because I am not seeing that and why are they hard to read? My eyes are not great at all. In fact I need glasses but I have no problem reading the guages. Please explain yourself pal. I am all for changing something if it will improve it.

RND I may take you up on the offer but I will give it a shot first. If I can't do it I will email you the graphics. I appreciate the offer.

Uvah, your buttons are probably shifting on mouseover because your different states are not aligned right on the image. If one frame is off, it will move when you mouseover it.

double check you buttons that are moving, I bet one state is not aligned right.

My reply to you JuniorCrooks got wiped off somehow.

Improved lighting corrected the problem. I had to get away from the glare for a better look at your graphic. The rings are a bit on the thick side and that's no biggie. It's the blue of the gauge that threw me off. The overall design is great ... have you tried scaling the thinner ring for the oval?

Hey Uvah I have been doing some mods but so far have not come up with anything I like. Those gauges just are not doing it for me. I think if they were thinner and maybe wood to match the frame of the skin might be better. The problem is if I make the ring thinner I have to make the rest of the gauge thinner too or it does not look right. As far as the blue part goes I can change the collor to anything. I started off with a Red, yellow, green gradient. I like that better because it looks more like a proper meter but I think it does not match the skin well.

I do not know but maybe I have to go back to the drawing board with this one. The Knot Aero and Knot Vista skins have really nice graphics so I want to do this right or not do it at all.

I understand. I'm trying to get the Hardwood 'cabinet' just right. I thought because 'wood' is a great theme to work with it should reflect that hence the cabinet. I'm stuck on making buttons that resemble plates on holders. Imagine my surprise when I moused over one and it moved! Actually slid to the side. I freaked but Xiandi explained what I did wrong. The images have to line up precisely but with these buttons its hard to do. I'll get it though. Of course it means going back into the psd and reworking them but its worth it. Tell you ... I didn't think it would turn out this good. It actually looks like a cabinet. I have to make some adjustments to the background too. That top part should be high enough for the buttons to fit comfortably. They did before I resized it. Good luck with it Junior. I know you can do it up right.

Getting there. Buttons fixed and just some tweaking to do.
