Camping for health regeneration

i haven't played the game since the last official patch, but i was thinking that it would be helpful for you to be able to make camp for your army in order to regenerate its health while out in the world.  perhaps it would be better to just tie it in with the fortify function instead.  there could be spells, equipment, or specialist units(cleric, medic etc.) that would make healing faster while your out there.

Although i think it would be better to not have it tie in with fortify and actually give you a negative to defense mainly because you might be unprepared for an attack because of the units that would be in beds out of their armor and whatnot.  sort of a trade off with a bonus to health regen but also more vulnerability.

Either that or allow the Heal spell be used outside of combat, I find it odd you can't use magic to heal outside of combat!

You can make a medic (unit with medical backpack) and stock up on Nectar & Salt Pork from the shop.

Wait.. so the medic pack heals other units in a stack?  I've always skipped this tech as I've had other priorities and thought the kit only healed the unit it was assigned to.  If it heals other units, I will quite enjoy designing some battle medics.

Once we are able to cast healing on the strat map, we can finally have traditional healers and magic using clerics.  I look forward to this.

In the meantime, I'm liking Stmorpheus's thoughts on having the fortify feature grant a slow heal.

I agree that Heal spells should be a combat spell and non combat spell.

i don't think that the medic packs grant healing to anyone but the person that owns it.  unless that has changed during the beta.  healing outside of combat would be nice, but you would prob only be able to heal a single unit or unit stack at a time.  maybe a heal all spell?  i think a rest feature would be nice to have, just to be able to park your guys for a few turns to gain back some health.  maybe you have to define how many turns to rest and then it forces you to stay there for that many turns. a sort of trade off.
