LogonStudio Display Issue

I've been using Stardock products for a long time. In fact, WindowBlinds 4.x and LogonStudio XP were what enticed me to purchase the OD subscription. Recently, I've had to reformat my computer and upon re-installing all my Object Desktop applications, I noticed that LogonStudio had a slight glitch.

It shows the wallpaper correctly, but the bottom of the screen stays the MS original blue, as do the User Accounts. I have used Impulse to download and install, and I have uninstalled and re-installed the program to see if that solution would work. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could do to alleviate this issue?

Upgrade to Windows 7?

All kidding aside, have you tried multiple logons? Do any logons work correctly?

Heh, my work laptop couldn't run Windows 7 in it's wildest fantasies...

Other logons have the same issue, even those that came stock with the program. This is a little annoying, as my computer's GUI is very impressive, save for that glitch. Any other suggestions?

Thank you, I really appreciate you spending time to help me.

Sounds like you have installed the Vista version, which does work on XP as you have described, for the full skinned logons on XP you need the XP version, second download.

Will the Vista version install on XP? I tried it and got the error saying it wasn't compatible with my system.

Hey RND: not from Impulse, Stardock is aware of the false error it shows but have not changed it yet. You need to download the stand alone installer from the link in reply 3.

OK, but I don't want it if it don't work correctly.  Thanks.

It does work correctly, just as on Vista and 7 can only can background image the rest is default MS, it is just not anywhere near the same as the XP version. I have both versions installed and switch back and forth between them.

I wouldn't care for the default MS blue at the top and bottom. Just, yuck.....lol.
