I don't really have a favorite to play as (I'm probably best with Advent or TEC), but Advent is my favorite over all. I like the aesthetics (of the ships of course  ) and their synergy (aka "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts") tactics, plus I think they have the most interesting story.

advent/vasari

i find vasari a lot easier to play most of the time. assailants and phase missiles are available at tier 1, and scramble bombers/repair cloud and phase missile strikecraft is nice. later on, there's overseers and subverters, and phase stabilizers. i also like enslaved labor.

whereas with advent, i usually end up living on stupid tier 3 illuminators and/or carriers that cost a fortune, until i can make the stretch to tier 5 and destras

Keep in mind that threads in the "off topic" category are visible from all Stardock forums, even those that are non-Sins.

 

Personally, I'm always a bit of a sucker for the underdog, so this version it's Advent.
