I hope there will not be any region restricted offer .

You can always hope, but unfortunately that may not the case. Immediately after reading the article Impulse Now popped up and told me about great offer, too bad it was about Dragon Age which is region restricted.

That made me turn the promotions off for now :P

When will Elemental : War of Magic go on sale?

I've had impulse set to actively palpating for quite some time now, but still, no EWoM sale....

-.-

It probably won't be until after 1.1 is released, and the demo is available. I can't see them making a marketing push while unhappy with the state of the game.

I bought Tropico 3 and Alpha Protocol for less than $13 combined the other day on Gamers Gate.  I'll check out Impulse and see if they have anything good and cheap.

Steam had all the King's Bounty games (Legend, Armored Princess, and Crossworlds) for $7.50 total over the weekend. Hard to beat :P

Ooh really?  still going on?  I'd like to get those.

Unfortunately not, they were rotating deals every day since the 24th, today being the last day. The sale on King's Bounty ended :( It was on Saturday, I think.

WHAT???? I paid 8.75!  Outrageous!  I demand to speak to Galactic President Superstar McAwesomeville!

Yeah I already had the first two on Beamdog.  But since I have yet to find any other use for Beamdog I said what the hell and went for it.

I noticed that sale too, but none of those games made the "best seller's" list.

There are a few games on my wishlist over at Steam that I know will never go on sale....EVER...but maybe Impulse will oblige me??

I would love to buy on Impulse if the price is right....

-.-

I don't know, you could buy Elemental at Walmat for $40 and Impulse was selling it for $50.  But I've bought a few games from them, I would prefer to buy all my games from Impulse, but the selection is limited and you can find better prices other places a lot of the time.

True but I never expected the sales to go this insane.  It really makes you wonder about the default prices for gaming...is it REALLY worth 50/60 when you'll get it for 20 in 8 months?  I mean...see Mass Effect 2 and Conviction.  What the hell?

How am I supposed to look at new game prices and not wonder if I'm getting ripped off after years of this stuff?

We are totally getting ripped off, especially shit thats going to have a lot of DLC or expansions.  I love Bioware and Bethesda, but I doubt I will want to buy anything rday one from them when I know if I wait, I'll save $100.

It's not a rip-off, it's simply a relatively high 'early adopter' fee. It's fairly common in technology, most notably with Windows releases and new Apple hardware. Still sucks, though, as it encourages you not to be too loyal to any one company, otherwise you'll get burned by the first release then get charged again for the second. Good thing Stardock actually does the opposite and treats their early adopters with respect, it's one of the reasons I trust them so much.

Still, I'd love to buy DA:Ultimate even though I already have both DA:O (preordered it, even!) and DA:A, $25 a bit high for all the DLC but I'd get a shiny new copy of both DA:O and DA:A on top of it. Pity that EA is still locking their games from us non-US customers here so even if I want to pay (again!) for Dragon Age, I'm unable to do so.

God damn it, I'm such an idiot.  I went to impulse and I thought I saw Settlers 7 for $20, so I thought, Awesome, I've been wanting that.  So I buy it and download it, and it's the fucking Guide.  Mother fuck, I'm an idiot.  So I then bought Settlers 7 for 25, not bad, but I really spent 45, 20 being for idiot tax...

You could always try your luck with sales, maybe they'll refund it since it was an accidental buy. Can't hurt in any case, at worst they'll say no. ;)

I had impulse on startup for the better part of a year, and these sales were few, small and far in between last time around.

I think they're doing daily "25 days of Christmas" sales now, one new thing on sale every day that I seem to get a popup for. So far though, the sales seem pretty minor :(

I'm still checking-in on a daily basis.

I hope to see a few games on my wishlist go on sale before the new year rolls on in.
