Moderateman is Dead

Hello JoeUsers, it's little-whip.  Some of you remember me, some may not, and there's a good chance that once Brad sees me here I will be perma-banned again.  It matters little as long as I get to post this.

Elie Levi, known to some of you as Elliot, but to most of you as Moderateman, died at 2:00 AM on Sunday, November 14th.

He was diagnosed with stomach cancer just over a week ago, and it had already spread to all his other organs.  He did not go peacefully, and he suffered a lot in his last days.

Colleen is inconsolable, and asks that those of you who have his cell number to call her within the next day or two because she can't bear it much longer than that and intends to have the service shut off.

He had no last wishes, and no regrets.  Cards and flowers are not necessary, nor are any donations to any charity being sought in his name.

He and Colleen had everything they'd ever wished for in this life, namely, each other.  The one wish they had was for more time to spend together.  Sadly, this was not to be.

Rest in peace, old bean, may flights of angels carry you to your final home, and may God himself console your earthbound angel, Colleen.

It's been a terribly sad day, first Elie, then I come here and read that Udigit is gone too, and Tova7 is battling breast cancer.

I miss so many of you.

Ahh it was bigfatdaddy. Thank you.  Not to worry, my friend, I will be back to my old haunt on Friday at the latest, my absence there is only temporary.  Right now I am wrapping Christmas gifts for mailing to England, listening to cheery Christmas music, and bawling my ass off while checking this post to see if anyone here even remembers Elie.

Thanks for letting us know about MM.

I didn't know him personally as some of you, however, as a JU personality, MM was one of a kind, always interesting and fun in all the discussions in which I participated. I will miss him.

Very sad to see this news.  I know sooner or later this is a fate that awaits us all, but it doesn't make accepting it any easier.

I'm speechless....This is awful news to hear, but thank you Whip for letting us know. So sad, right behind tne news of Chris....my condolences to Colleen. Rest in peace Elie.

Very sad news, indeed. It was just a few weeks ago I was reading an old article and came across one of his responses. I wondered what he was up to, not for a moment thinking the worst. Rest in peace.

not much to add to the heartfelt sentiments already expressed here.  I concur with all of you. 

I pray peace and comfort for his family who feel left behind at the passing of their loved one. 

Moderateman will be missed by them and by all of us.
