More running around...

The pup heads back to the vet today to get a follow-up check after being spayed a few weeks back.  After that, she gets to go to the doggy boutique to get trimmed and beautified.  Most importantly is trimming the fur around the hind quarters which should help her keep from getting herself soiled.

Tomorrow I'll be taking the kitten back to the vet for her second check-up and additional shots and such.  I must admit to being a bit tempted to get the cat declawed after she scratched me up a good bit.  She was playing/taunting the dog the other day and when I tried to move her aside when the dog made a mess in her play area she was not happy and took it out on my hands via her claws.  I really don't like the idea of declawing a cat, but if she hits me hard again it may leave me little choice.  She's a sweet kitty, but once spooked she doesn't realize the damage her claws can have.

Tomorrow is also leaf raking day here.  One of several that will be needed to pile up the leaves that will fall from the big tree in my yard.  My daughter wishes the tree would just come down already, but I really don't want that.  Most especially because if that tree wasn't there we'd probably be paying about 4x as much for electrical usage to run the air conditioner. < eek! >

That's about it for this weekend, though I just reminded myself I have to go to work and check-in at least once along the way to return a recent change back to normal.  I'm going to be in training all next week so I wouldn't be able to return things to normal then, so the weekend running includes the requirement to stop back by work.
