Sorry to hear that, CS. That same thing could have happened to the guy that lived next door to me. He moved across town a few days ago. He lied so he could vote for Governor. The way he sees it(and me)it's okay, seeing how the Government lies to us daily.
Ironically we didn't vote simply because they asked my wife if we still lived on the address on her license and she said no and that when all hell broke lose after we had driven 15 minutes to get to the second location with only 15 minutes left to vote. I feel like I was rob, I felt like I was told I was worthless, not worthy of giving a vote. I still feel the sting right now. I have never been so passionate about something like this before, I am truly hurt.
The good news tho Charles is MARCO WON!!! You have to be excited about that. Great news for our state!!
Yea, but I really wanted to do my part. I was also looking to vote no on amendment 4 because if it passed it could have cost many jobs in my company including possibly mine. Still we came on top. I just feel like I can't enjoy this victory as good as i wanted to.
I was fortunate enough not only to meet him and speak with him for a few moments but the Newspaper posted a great picture of me and Marco the next day. A keeper for sure especially if he makes it all the way to President like they're saying he might.

They asked for my driver's license (which I'm fine with) I told them that tactically I thought they couldn't ask for my license. In the end I thanked them for asking.
I was so mad I told them in their faces that they denied me and my wife our right to vote.
It's unfortunate. Most folks who have moved in the past do know about the registration thing. Seems to me at this point in tech development a retinal scan/biometric profile could be stored and one could then vote anywhere (but only for the candidates in his district).
I would have given a urine or blood sample if it would have allowed me to vote. But this won't happen again, next time I will not only makes sure I have my shit together but I will be carrying the rules with me so i can show them how they are violating my rights.
Registration however, is necessary for all the obvious reasons. I don't think blaming the President for laws on the books for decades is logical.
I know, but I wanted to take it out on someone and who better than him.
