I stumbled upon Desktop Dungeons while being bored one night, and boy did I become addicted to this fast!  It's basically a stripped down version of Rogue, obviously using actual graphics, that has been designed to be played in less than 10 minutes.  Sounds stupid, until you're saying "just one more go" at 4am before work.

I recommend it to any fans of the genre: plenty of options, unlockables and loads of charm.

Interesting, although there are plenty of nonstripped down roguelike games with graphics already available for free download. But sometimes there is something to be said for simplicity, and if it's free it can't hurt to try it. I'll give it a look sometime.

Had a chance to play with it for awhile and it's a very addicting game. In some ways it's more like a puzzle game pretending to be a RPG then a roguelike game, but it's still quite fun. It's incredibly simple but constantly has new stuff that you unlock and get to play with which keeps up the replay value.
