Is there something wrong with my game?

Hey guys,

 

I finally broke down and got the ultimate edition of gal civ 2. I had played this game a while ago and wanted to see the new changes. However, there is a bunch that is really weird...

1. In campaign and normal game I have no farms at all. Did these get taken out? They appear if I start dread lords or dark avatar from their own application, but the ultimate edition has none.

2. It seems like I play for turn after turn without getting a single weapon tech. Either the research says it will take 50+ turns or it simply is not an option.

3. I can't build survey ships in the twilight campaign? I only get one from the ordinary game.

 

Thanks in advance. I love the game but don't understand what happened to the ultimate edition/twilight.

1 - Farms still exist, you just need to have researched the right tech.

2 - How long have you setup the research rate for? I've never seen it take 50 turns to research early weapon techs.

3 - I haven't played the campaigns so I don't know.
