What's the latest estimate for patch 1.1?

Or:  When should I stop playing civ5 and get back into elemental......

Lol! Love it. I just jumped in here to have a quick look before firing up Civ5 myself. :D

Beg pardon for quibbling, but that's about the 1.1 beta, not the ETA for the finished 1.1.

I don't recall where I saw it, but I'm pretty sure someone at Stardock mentioned an aspiration to get 1.1 finished around the end of November. That seems more than sufficiently ambitious to me, especially given the big changes to the crew doing the work.

I'll be happy with by Xmas myself but I want it polished this time.  Balanced and polished.

Until then I'm back on AOW:SM...

I want lots of stuff lol. I have gone back to AOW:SM too, it's such a fun game. And I play Heroes of Might & Magic 5 which is equally as good. I think this game could probably be better than them both, but it needs patch love.

Current update is for the v1.1 beta to be made available to the public in the next week or so.  Right now, with Kael having just started, we're working on transitioning day to day management from myself to him.

Not Thursday?      (sad)

Ohh no! I hoped for tomorow. Thats hard.  Don´t get me wrong. I can understand that. Its clearly comprehensible.

But i´ve stoped playing the game since 1.09 and ....and .... and... *hmppff* ;)

edit/

Maybe we can have some more information about 1.1, maybe a tiny little picture?  ... something like that. :pout:

This is Horrible news.

Eh, I think I will go back and work on my Dominions 3 mods.  I've left them half created for a long time now.  I'll come back when you need my fabulous advice on 1.1.

I suspected Thursday wouldn't happen, so I picked up MOO2 on Impulse to help pass the time. Man what a great old game. Fear my bank of 30 auto-firing heavy disruptors! Elemental needs to aspire to that level of unit customization and retrofitting.

Of course I should be writing down all the spells but I decided to give myself a week off.

So if the beta will be available to the public, we will basically play the 1.1 (beta version) in the next week? Everybody?

Oh, that is sad. What is the reason for the delay? I ask because you said that Kael would begin to work on Elemental after version 1.1 ...

The wait is killing me, I was so looking forward to a beta this week.

Eh, one less thing to distract me from studying for Monday's math test; though Divinity II's expansion pack comes out on Friday so I would likely be too busy with that anyways to try the beta.

If you guys havent been in a stardock beta before, let me just chime in and say they're rarely playable. If you're itching for the 1.1 beta just to try the new game mechanics, you are better off waiting until it's no longer in beta.

I was in the beta from sphase 2 so I have a fair idea of what to expect. Still, it seems hollow playing the current system when so much is changing shortly.

I'm kinda holding back from learning how to play the game at the moment because it sounds like a lot is gonna change and I think I'll get confused. I'd like to try the beta when it's released, however bad it is, just to get an idea of what it's going to be like and to get an idea of the game's mechanics and I think it'll be interesting to see how it develops.

That is too funny - that is exactly what I am doing, too!

You guys are playing Civ5?   I've put that on the shelf for while. Too busy with GalCiv2 right now.

I'm still playing it, but it needs some serious patching too.  Between Elemental and Civ5, I am going to start waiting about 3 months before I buy a new strategy game.

I can see myself switching between the two as each one gets patched...
