Whew, just a few work days til the weekend

Actually not really work days as I am scheduled for some training over the next two days so I shouldn't really have that much "work" to get done.  Yet again, I find myself looking at one of those relative rarities in my life, a weekend when I don't have plans that will keep me overly busy.  Yay me!

Seriously, we'll be taking the puppy to get "fixed" this weekend.  No puppies for this puppy.  Sorry little girl, but really we don't want to put her through having a litter of puppies no matter how adorable they might be.  If something went wrong with attempting to/allowing her to breed we'd be heartbroken, despite how hyperactive she can be, and how frustrating she has been to complete potty training for.  She is our buddy, and we want her to be well cared for so no, we won't try to breed her or let her breed if possible.

The only part of getting her fixed that I really am not looking forward to is seeing her in the lampshade collar that is supposed to keep her from picking at the stitches.  I know why they are used, and don't want the puppy to hurt herself, but it just looks so wrong.

Eventually the kitten goes in for the same treatment, with the same downsides.  Again though, we don't want the extra critters to have to find homes for.

Outside of this activity, not much going on this weekend.  Hopefully I can lounge on the couch a little, with the kitten laying in my lap and the puppy laying in her play area resting and recuperating.
