Ultimate edition

I'm a newbie, please bear with me.  I installed the game yesterday with no issue, I plaid about 1 hour but I could not figure out two things:

1. How do you move ships from one spot to another?  I tried click and drag (like in CIV 4), I tried right click in an empty space to no avail.  I have to figure the rally point thing out.  Also my ship can explore with no problem if instructed.

2. I constructed a ship (the one that can build starbase), but now I have three build, it's costing me money and I can not figure out how to stop building.

Thanks for any help you may provide.

When a ship is highlighted, I right-click on the spot you want it to move to.

Upper right corner of a planet screen, there's the link to the shipyard.  There, you can change the ship that's being built, or pick 'none'.

Send your constructors to resources -- different-colored polygons scattered about in space -- and build starbases there.   You'll get nice benefits to your economy, research, military, etc. by doing this (each color does something different).

I think there's a nice tutorial in the game you can run through.

Selfgovern, Thanks I will try that tonight.  I think I know why the right click did not work: I just purchased a new IMac and the Apple Mouse that come with it is not the regular mouse with right click button.  I will try to do that using the "ctrl" key on my keyboard.

Thanks again.
