Weekend!
Whew, after some 'adventures' at work on Friday (that will still be there on Monday when I'm next in the office), I was glad when the workday was finally done and I got to head out for some dinner. A co-worker went with me to one of my favorite eateries and we both chomped down our meals before I had to head off to get home and take my daughter out to the mall to see a friend of hers.
While at the mall I was able to catch a showing of the new film The Social Network. Decent film. I really like Aaron Sorkin's writing and since he'd done the screenplay, it was probably a foregone conclusion that I'd enjoy the film. While I still have virtually zero interest in Facebook, I still enjoyed the tale of how it was created and became the monster that it is.
Today is yet another trip to the vet to take the pup in for her required shots and such. She's a little irritated with my daughter and I as we've not let her have any more food since earlier today. If we let her eat before riding in the car she gets car sick, so we took the food away for now in preparation for the road trip. Hopefully she'll do better with the travel this way (it seemed to be the case on the beach road trip, so we're hoping for the same results), though we will need to get her back home asap after finishing at the vets so she can eat again and get back on her normal food schedule.
Tomorrow is lined up as a fairly quiet day. Hopefully I'll get a chance to enjoy football for a change. While I'm not confident I'll get the type of results I want from the games, I'm looking forward to getting to watch games for a change as the last few weeks had me busy travelling to go see concerts during the games.
