MCP big black square

Any idea why the splash screen displays as a big black square? Had this problem with an earlier version of MCP and fixed it by changing the ObjectBar "Run at startup" option. No luck with latest version of MCP.

Could this be a video card issue? I have the Mobility Radeon 7500.

Have it on NVidia also,. But only on ONE machine.
