IE8 command bar.

I do not use IE8, but it has been pointed out that the text in the menu bar is too light & is unreadable aginst the background colour, in my latest blind (Tewl Crohan), when I looked, the menu bar is OK on my computer, but 3 of the labels in the command bar are plain white text, the rest of the labels are controlled by the text settings in the tollbar button (6 state) & are readable, the 3 labels cocerned are Page, Safety & Tools. Can anyone please tell me which text settings control these labels colour.

All the white text in my blind has a black shadow, so I should not have plain white text set anywhere, unless I have missed putting the shadow on a setting, which is possible, as my brain failed to get out of bed with me this morning.

Thanks, butch123, I am afraid that did not seem to work.

OldMsgt - On my PC with Windows 7 & our laptop running Vista I do not have a problem with the menu bar, only with 3 of the lables on the command bar, on which I see you only show icons, as you can see in the screenshot.

Also look at the font colour next to printer Icon you will also see that in white colour

butch123 - on my PC (Windows 7) & laptop (Vista) I do not have a problem with the menu bar just the Print, Safety & Tools labels on the command bar, which are not altered by the same text settings as the rest of the labels (toolbar button, 6 state) they are obviously controlled by another text setting which despite seaching I am unable to detect. All my white text has a black shadow, so should show on a light background.

Change the disabled state text on those buttons. They actually controll some text on IE8.

Thanks 2of3, all of my disabled state text is set to the same white with a black shadow on the toolbar buttons, as are all my white text settings that I can control but there are a few text settings which you cannot. As you can see in screenshots OldMsgt's computer shows different to mine, is this one of these instances which make computer's an inexact science?

CY, you have mail!

Thanks to Xiandi, this problem with the colour of 3 of the text labels on the command bar in IE8, is now solved. The colour of the text of the disabled state of the toolbar button (6 state) has to set to OS Default which will make the text black.

Thank you for sorting this for me, Xiandi.

gmc2 - I thought this was the answer, if you read through the post OldMsgt had 2 problems on his computer (1) was white text on the IE8 menubar & (2) three labels on the command bar had white text, the others were OK which was the same on my computer, the menu bar on my Windows 7 & Vista computers the text was readable, which is difficult to put right if it is not a problem on your PC. Xiandi kindly told me how to rectify problem (2), see above.

As you may know I suffer from a rare metabolic disorder which makes it very difficult to compose & write posts in the forums, doing so makes me quite ill, it is why I do not participate much, & when I need to ask a question I do write the minimum necessary, i do know that all answers need to displayed so that other skinners can learn & I am sorry if I did not make myself clear.

well, some of not understanding is just interpretation and having something similiar on the same page that might have a solution also.

I was hoping that you all were discussing the text shown below.

gmc2, that color is controlled by the Button Text color in the Skin Defined System Colors section.
