What do you play while waiting for 1.1?

What do you play while waiting for 1.1?

I've learned about FFH2 on this forum and spent some time playing first scenario of the campaign. The second one was too boring, so I abandoned it.

Then I read the forum some more and realized I haven't played Age of Wonders. Purchased it at Impulse and it's totally great! Next level of awesomeness after HoMM3 for me. And has that great elements of MoM and Warlords.

What do you people play and what else can you recommend?

I'm currently playing Darkfall, which is a great game if you like the sort of MMO it is, and SC2.

FFH2 - rise from Erebus - Not the scenarios though - just random world, random civ, random leader.

Civ V.. surprisingly I enjoy the slower pace and the limited amounts of units which adds value to individual units. I thought I'd be bored by yet another iteration of Civ.. but it's different enough to be engaging.. so far. And it's gorgeous and very polished.

civ v is a great time killer :D

Just started playing Amnesia - The Dark Descent.

A indie game I can strongly recommend to anyone that remotely favours survival horror or anything lovecraftian.

Well i did buy Civ V Wedsday only to find out my Video Card is not supported

Since i have been way to fed up with barely meeting Min requirements for games for the longest time now I broke down and ordered a Custom PC from a Local pc shop.

I have put all my gaming on hold till it is finished later next week.

But i can say i will put both Civ V and Elemental on first thing and turn the settings all to max and enjoy both.

I tend to play one game per genre, not many games from the same genre.

When i'm not playing Elemental, enjoy:

Darkfall Online:  MMO w/ FPS mechanics, FFA PVP, + full loot

Battlefield: Bad Company 2:  FPS military shooter with great graphics and destructible scenery

Realmz: Old, 90's shareware RPG.  EPIC (stats/classes/races/items/bestiary)

Distant Worlds: A really ambitious galatic 4x game. The take confusing UI to an extreme, and it takes a lot of skill to really get into, but it works, and it is really impressive and it doesnt just kills time, it DESTROYS time.

Everquest 2

Super Streetfighter 4

Tekken 6

Oblivion (heavily modded)

Dawn of War 2.

I've been spending some time on Metro 2033, and I always have Half-Life 2, Quake 4, Doom 3 on standby when I have a few minutes to play but not enough time to really get into a game. I admit to being one-dimensional........ I like to shoot things. :cylon:

Tropico 3, Fallout: New Vegas.

I watched the movie Zardoz the other night for the first time.  It was the most awesomely bad movie I have ever seen.

MoM, Galciv II, NWN 2, but very little of any of them.

Mostly I just play with my dick smith collection of interesting gadgets.

Been playing Rise of Flight, Amnesia and finally bought Fable 1 the other day and playing through that too. So they can take their time and make it something to remember.

I haven't watched Zardoz. I've never even heard of Zardoz. But I am still confident in saying that the worst movie ever produced has to be Merlin's Apprentice. In contrast to the first movie in that same Merlin series, it is a horrid convoluted plotless mess of misappropriated semen. I would watch Sex and the City before watching that movie again, and then I would shoot myself in the nipples.

Distant Worlds and Football Manager for me.  Both are extremely addicting.

I've seen that Merlin's apprentice, and trust me, it isn't nearly the mindfuck terrible Zardoz is.

I've seen Merlin's apprentice & part of Zardoz.  Inclined to agree with Xia.  But did he watch the whole thing ?  Why ?  How ?

Well, perhaps because I had such high expectations, and it had some of the same cast from the first Merlin. Could just be my disappointment talking.

I kind of liked that Merlins Apprentice, although I think I would have liked it more if everything would have ended completely depressing.  I really wanted to do that chick that looked like a guy...

Company of Heroes.  After all, those American paratroopers aren't going to machine-gun themselves.  (grin)
