First time customer and totally confused

Last night I made my first purchase at stardock.com. I bought desktopx and everything went nice and easy....until.....

So I paid my purchase (paypal) and after my transaction I saw instructions like these:

To install your software, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Install Impulse from http://www.impulsedriven.com/impulse_setup.exe.

Step 2: Logon to Impulse using the account information used during your purchase.

Step 3: From the My Games or My Software tabs in Impulse, select your product and press the Install button to download your software.

If your software is prompting for a serial number when run, you can right click on its entry in Impulse and select "View Registration" to access that title's serial. You also have the option to copy the serial number to the clipboard for easy pasting.

 

Step 1: Done

Step 2: Log on to something where I don't have an account? Ok, I made an account using the same email that my paypal has.

Step 3: My software tab does NOT show desktopx so there is NOTHING TO INSTALL - WTF?

I clicked "community" tab and then I clicked "Account". There I found a place called "Registrations" and so I also clicked that.

It shows me "Desktopx 3 run-time client" and after that there reads "Primary Download" so I clicked that "Primary Download"

After my download I tried to run it but it just won't let me proceed with install because it wants my SERIAL which I did not receive via email (as expected) and I also cannot check my SERIAL through "My Software" tab since it doesn't show desktopx at all. Anywhere else I should look for this serial? Any ideas about wtf is wrong here...........?

My best suggestion is to send ONE and only one email to [email protected] . Describe the problem or supply the link to this thread.

Oh yes... Welcome to the Community, beyondsaturn. Sorry you chose the weekend to do it, but do recheck your email and also wherever your email puts "spam" since sometimes things don't get sorted correctly.

When you purchased DesktopX did you create a Stardock.net account using your own email address? If so, then that is the email and password you need to login to Impulse with and not the PayPal one.

Also, if the above is correct then you will need to transfer the registration from the Paypal email to your Stardock.net email here - Transfer Registrations

Enter the PayPal in the 'Source Account' and your Stardock.net email in the 'Destination Account'.

After completing the transfer your program should be available for downloading in Impulse.
