DX and Z-order

I have an odd Z-order problem after unloading DX. If you have the time then maybe you can replicate it. If more people have this bug then I'll notify Alberto.

Open several windows (Explorer and others) on top of each other. Then load DX. Play with the window order. Everything should be fine at this stage. Then unload DX and try bringing windows to the front using the taskbar. The windows seem to be locked in the Z-order. Now try to click windows in the background. What happens?

I have tried this both with WB loaded and unloaded. It does not seem to be related with WB.

BTW: I am using XP.

Thanks.

Can someone do this little test that takes a less than a minute?

I didn't have a problem (but then again there is a good chance I didn't do it right... I am new at this stuff).

I had that problem before and it seemed related to the task bar for me. At least that what I gathered at the time.

What happened if you minimized all the windows and then re-opened all of them?

If I minimize and restore all of them then the Z-order works well again.

I think it is something to do with the task bar. But I have no way of testing it. My computer is too slow and I don't run DX the wy I used too (and I am on win98)

No new computer for me until next year... March!!!
