I just wanted to say that until today, I have never truly been both dissapointed by Stardock.  While I have had minor issues in the past with some games, it is unacceptable that after multiple patch fixes the game still crashes once you reach turn 180 and up.  I have had to run Elemental easily over 100 times for this 1 game so far.  Every 3-5 turns I still get a memory error, and now if I try to research the Housing tech, My game crashes.  While the concept of this game is amazing, the actual mechanics and intangibles have forever turned me away from this game.

I like Stardock, the people and the ethos. But bringing out a product riddled with bugs is not professional. They should know this. I know a lot of you want to defend them, but they don't deserve it. People who pay good money for something should get something that works as advertised. This is not high school, its not wing it at the last moment. Those of you who are older gamers, professionals will know that you can't get away with this in the real world.



As much as I love what Stardock is, if they don't shape up they are (regretfully) going to deserve to fold. Its on them to release a functional product, not their paying customers to except flawed goods. That's simply the way it is in the market.

Yeah and thats why we need a hundred more threads so everybody can cry out his/her disappoinment? With respect, but its starting to make me angry.

 

Take it back to RL:

There is a friend who made a mistake. Not conscious, but it happend. He apologize and promised, that he will work hard and eliminate his mistakes.

If this happens for me the case is closed and we can go on. Or you are a stickler for principles and tell your friend every hour in the upcomming years that it was not Ok. 

 

In this case:

There was an apoligize (more than one time). And we can see SD is working.
