Is it really closed or do they have server problems again ? Any 'Insiders' here ?
And btw., where did Aftertalk go ?

Server problems. Read the news post on the front page here.

Crap, that leaves us with this place, skinbase and DevArt. The circle is getting smaller and smaller...

what crae said...

it's getting spooky ya'll

here the deal:

this site is great, for the 19 sections it has.
dev art is great, if you can find a skin amongst the poetry.
skinbase is great, and i guess it will have to be greater.

i loved LOS, it had so much user interaction it was amazing. the skinner/developer relation ships budding on the MB there were a fine thing to watch and partake of.

I really hope chaz gets it back up.
I had LOtSofFun.com there.

oh man that sucks. i visited los for the unique sections it had. but i don't know what kenray speaks of. i didn't see tha tmuch interaction. the discussion boards were pretty quiet. but i liked the site and the site skinning.

I don't like to see any skinning sites go down, large or small. They are all needed and all have their own good points. SkinBase is looking pretty good. I think that they will be getting better over time.

JayG,

too bad you didn't dig a little deeper at los.
Rich Vivash was actively posting there as "The Fifth" and there were several of us actively helping him along with his project "I NEt Tabs Browser".

The guys who took over develpment of Quick changer were posting there, adn basically the dev of that prog was happening in real tiem right on the LOS MB.

Chaz, as a coder, had imnplemented many options for his website, including multiple personal icons, and the ability for the LOS site users to choose the "Daily Skin".

Much ado about htose two things were going on on the LOS MB right up until the day it disappeared.

Interaction is for those who click the threads.
Don't expect anyone to put up a big sign that says "Hey, JG, cool developer/skinner action going on in here!!!"

Perhaps, when LOS returns, you will dive a littel deeper into the inner working of "the scene"?

I was a regular visitor there also. good site. But JayG is right. There were a few people talking in the forums but it had just gotten restarted and was still pretty quiet. You and 5 guys talking don't make for alively place. LOS was cool because they reached out to the little guys and that was nice.
