Ok i just picked up diplomacy felt like playing sins again and its fun but the pirates, im all for making pirates stronger but someone went overboard. They have more health then my cap ships ~2700 for the flak frigs ~3500 for heavy cruisers about triple the armor ~ 14-16, albeit no shields but then again there was 63 of em. and this is after my crazy gauntlet at the star of 4 star bases with maxed drones. The battle lasted a good 40 mins im not exaggerating any of this sadly only won cause of my crazy turtle like advent late game powers it was interesting but about half way threw the fight guess what more pirates another 50 or so this time went to my ally and pretty much crushed him would have done me in if they came to me.

Pirates are not a Nuisance anymore which i like but there pretty much the whole game i could just sit with my stack of 100 dollar bills bribing pirates and in 6-7 waves the game would be over without me firing another shot.

I dont claim to be an expert at sins i just like playing AI games every now and then but i dont see any kind of defense i could do to solve the pirate problem maybe 1000 mines but i dont even think that would hurt them to much.

For now i just turned them off and there gonna stay off. Anyone else find this just absolutely absurd

Pirate Dilemma Long thread of complaints here but I dont think the DEVs are even reading the post.

My last game I actually made it to the point of getting the planet cannons for TEC. I built 4 and fired them all at each of the 3 pirate bases killing them off 1 at a time. There must have been 500 pirate ships at the 1 base but they just sat there after that.

Just abandon the planet and scuttle the structures to get some money back. Eventually they will leave.

only reason i made it farther was A lots of other AI and B it was a map i made in the forge and pirates apparently though strong enough to completely wipe your race from the galaxy yet not smart enough to jump from 1 star to another :P
