Would like to View Ratings

If you have the ability to write comments and rate, then I think you shoulad also have the ability to see the ratings (unless there's something I dont know) The current rating for each piece is shown in the same area where you make the comment. It says "current rating" Click on a skins comments area and see if you see it. If im wrong I appologize

Apparently not, Ms. Crissy14. I can see the area where I can rate and submit the rating but there is no "current rating" anywhere there. I tried to submit a rating and it worked (and then I had to apologize like mad to the author b/c I know nothing about nothing and should not be rating--just pig ignorant re the technical or artistic merit behind the work). I don't want to rate but I am interested in what others rate. Thanks for the response in any event. I truly believe that this site has it backward: I would think someone at my level (claim to fame is I bought a Stardock product) should be able to view ratings but not rate rather than the way this is set up. Just an (uninformed) opinion.

Click on 'comments' and it will show current ratings...........

Yrag, I hate to seem like a complete and total idiot (don't mind total or complete but complete and total seems so harsh!) but when I click on Comments, I get Comments.

I tried a few WBs and Wallpapers to see if the ratings were buried in the Comments but the exceedingly few I see within Comments themselves are not real ratings ie. I give this 20 out of 10. This is inputted text from someone, obviously. I have scrolled to the end of the Comments to see if there is something there. Nada. I have hovered around Comments to see if Ratings are revealed. Nada. I have even, stupidly, submitted a rating, in the hope that that might trigger something ie open a ratings page but Nada.

You can rate without commenting. Presumably the site tallies those ratings. But methinks I cannot force this site to disclose those ratings to me.

I can live without this as the Comments themselves can be quite informative--just a little disappointed.

User Level 3 will not be able to see ratings. Only allow them to rate a work. You need to be on User Level 4 or higher to actually SEE the rating. I was a Level 3 user for quite some time, and noticed the difference when I became Level 4. Hope it helps.

Thank you! Now I can stop looking for this feature! Still think it is strange that I can rate at all--but even stranger that I can rate and not see the ratings!

I think it's strange also. I've no idea why it's setup that way.

I very rarely rate (mostly I simply forget) but I noticed that just now myself that I was unable to see the average score for the skin I rated. The page I'm at has the comments on the same page as the skin and set rating box. After rating it goes back to the same page and the rating I gave shows up in the drop down box for choosing a rating.
I don't remember which Level I'm at, but have OD and a WC subscription. Which brings to mind something that is missing. You can't do ratings in the WinCustomize skin browser. So that is another reason why I don't rate often, would have to view the skin twice.

Never have any problem with it, rate, vieuw ratings, edit etc.
funny touhgt that you can rate but cant vieuw... you dont have any thing between download and commments?

I was a level-3 member and could neither see nor participate in ratings. Once I subscribed to WC, those options were available.

Maybe coriander can post a small screenie...showing just that part of the page (comments/rating) so that others can see what she is referring to? Just an idea.

About 3 days earlier I can rate, but not see the ratings. Now I can't rate but can see the ratings.

I can see one reason for not letting anyone see the rating on a skin.So they wont be influenced by what they feel is too high or too low a rating and rate on a curve so to speak.I wouldnt mind not being able to see a rating until after I had rated something.And not being able to change that rating unless they updated the piece.
