Relatively boring day...

It's been a relatively boring day so far.  Just the start of another work week, though I'm again looking ahead at some concerts this weekend.  One that I'll be going to with a co-worker, another with my daughter.  Both should be fun, though I expect mixed results at the second.  Actually the second one will be back in the same place that I caught Reba at.  I'm told that I shouldn't expect the crowd to be as nice about staying seated for this next show as Reba had apparently requested that attendees at her show remain seated as much as possible so that everyone in the audience could see the stage.  If that doesn't happen at this next show then I can imagine a lot of people in the back rows are going be staring at the back of a lot of people's heads and won't be able to see any of the performance on the stage in front of them. :(

The show that I'm supposed to catch with a co-worker harkens back to my older Rock 'n Roll fan days.  I'm looking forward to a great show and hope to have some video and photos from there to post after the show.

Otherwise I had some fun trying to properly report in to the gov'ment about where the Social Security benefits that have been paid to my daughter have gone.  Apparently their computers screwed up badly which caused the form that they sent me a paper copy of to have the wrong numbers on it in multiple places.  One of which was needed to be able to login and complete the task over the internet :o  When I finally figured out what the number was supposed to have been I was finally able to get online and complete the task.  Yay me for being smart enough to figure it out, but I must say the phone system at Social Security could probably be used as a torture device for any terrorists we might catch.  Hateful, irritating, unusable system really.  Voice recognition that doesn't work and demands for information that may or may not be correlated to the information on the paper forms. Uh, yeah, that's not going to confuse the people they are supposed to help. :(

That's enough for now.  Will catch up more later hopefully.

Oh, one more fun thing for the day... it was Shredder Truck day at work.  They brought in a truck that was also a big industrial paper shredder.  Employees were able to take in big boxes of papers that they had (old bills, financial statements, etc.) so they could be loaded into the truck and shredded up completely.  I was able to get rid of 3 cartons (Xerox paper cartons, the type that normally hold 10 reams of paper) that were fairly full of paper.  If I had crammed it all into the boxes, it may have fit into two boxes, but it was still quite a bit of stuff.  I went through the line 3 times rather than depositing the boxes into a single pile like others in the line did, but it didn't take that long and sure beat the heck out of shredding the materials in my own medium duty home shredder.  Now that I've gotten rid of the big stack I should be able to keep up with the pile, though the election flyers that I've gotten may give me a run for the money.  (Oooooh, I'll be so glad when the election is over.  Stupid robo-calls, mass mailings, and other crap.  Ugh.)
