Another in the summer of concerts

(Well, even if we are headed into fall ;-) )

Yet again, I'm hopeful that this comes out ok, but we'll see how it all cooperates.  (And it looks like it will, yay!)

This weekend's concert was the Toby Keith/Trace Adkins American Ride 2010 Tour stop.  It looks like I was able to add in a clip of Toby Keith singing "Crying For Me" (Wayman's song).  It's a beautiful tune, written for his friend Wayman Tisdale who died after illness.  The other songs I might have been able to capture pale in comparison (well, except for American Soldier, which admittedly I didn't stay long enough to hear as my daughter isn't a big Toby Keith fan and hadn't been feeling well going into concert day, so we left before the end of the show).

I believe Flickr shortened the video, as they definitely shortened the one that I have of the Trace Adkins song Welcome to Hell.  I'm not including the clip I have of that video because it contains an intro that isn't exactly suitable for workplaces (or family friendly).  That song was written in "first person" with Trace Adkins singing as the Devil welcoming terrorists that think they're headed for glory and virgins to their actual destination: Hell.

Instead of linking to Welcome to Hell, instead I've linked to This Ain't No Lovesong.  It too is a beautiful song that sounds an awful lot like a lovesong, even if its singer claims otherwise.

Trace Adkins proceeded the headliner (as I post this article in somewhat reverse order), but before Trace Adkins came out the crowd was treated to Jaron and the Long Road to Love, which is, uh, just Jaron.  Anyway, lets see if I can get a clip of Jaron posted.

That should do it.

Apologies that the video quality isn't as good as I would like.  I was trying out a new camera.  A Nikon Coolpix P100, rather than the Sony DSC HX1 that i previously used for some shows.  I'm finding that the Sony seems to be better for my needs/usage, and it seems to do a better job of capturing video at these sorts of shows.

If things go well the next couple of shows that I'm going to should have me getting much better quality video as I have seats up closer to the stage for the next few shows.  I'll be happy to share them here as time allows.
