Whats the easiest way to make a glossy effect on buttons etc i can never seem to get it to look right

Glossy spray paint. Works everytime.

I use gradients in Photoshop. I just adjust the angles for the shape of the buttons and voila! I'm not sure if its the easiest, but it works well for me.
