Can we do anything about this? Do I need an Impulse reinstall?

In the first SS above I have every box at the bottom except Drivers.

Hmm.. the possibilities are that you:

a.) Have Impulse set too narrow, so not all buttons can be displayed

b.) Have not-so-typical video hardware

c.) Have an old version of Impulse and need to update

You probably have Intel graphics, and if so, that is why.

What video card is on your system? If it's not ATI or NVIDIA then I don't think the tab shows.
