I hope my computer will be able to run it. This looks great.
Interesting. But I'm personally wary after Spore.. it just seems similar, and might look more awesome than it really is.
Spore was originally more awesome than it eventually ended up being, and was dumbed down because the lead designer thought that would be a good idea to appeal to a broader market. It's a textbook case of the thing people are always afraid of when designers say they're making the game more "accessible." This is from a no-name indy dev, so I don't reckon we have much chance of that same problem.
That said, it does look pretty light on actual gameplay footage for being so close to release. So far the game appears to be "move around parts of the environment to avert disaster" and nothing else.
Release date 27th july, price 15$ on PC.
Weird that it's so cheap, it's been in development for a long time and doesn't feel like a low-budget title. Makes me fear for lack of content.
Small or foreign devs often need to make things cheap, or else nobody will buy them. They obviously don't have much advertising; the fact that we're only hearing about this now within a month of release attests to that.
