Magic:

- Make spell books different from one another.

- Magic is supposed to be something rare that can destroy of heal the world. Make magic users something to be feared or at least respected compared to other units that can be present at the current game phase.

 

Heroes:

- Traits, advantages, bonuses. Anything that will make heroes more than just a unit that can buy items.

- More than just a few ability points each level. Maybe more/stronger traits?

 

UI:

- Well... a lot of changes...

 

General:

- Tutorial

 

Many other changes are needed, but I think these are the more urgent ones.

Please make dead units in a group not keep on fighting. If I managed to kill part of a group (which is difficult because it retaliates strongly :p), I want to see some tactical advantage for having done so: namely, that the group isn't as strong anymore.

I would like to see:

 

Caravan upgrade ability so they might survive an attack (That or allow us to group a unit with them).

NPC Prestige fix. (Either remove the royal ability from them or make it work)

Fix last few "out of Memory" errors.

How about a button in options/gameplay or in the interface when choosing whether to fight or to autoresolve battles that said "USE MAGIC IN AUTORESOLVED BATTLES: YES/NO"?

Tactical battles are mostly mindless tedium right now but autoresolving often have channelers wasting valuable mana on opponents that would have been squashed by troops, leading me to fight battles manually that by all rights should have been autoresolved (since the outcome was clear) in order to save mana.

 

I third this. Even the current form of Elemental would be closer to fun if this was added.

Let's see...

* Tactical Combat overhaul (no more 1Dn rolls for damage, attack and counterattack simultaneously - this is combat not some kind of fish slapping contest)
* Quests etc. visible no matter of your current tech - if you want to take a dragon head-on with your level 1 sovereign, go ahead...
* Groundwork for the Magic system overhaul.
* Groundwork for the Techtree overhaul.

Make it possible to play the game without a mouse.  Whether that's allowing the remapping of keys, or just allowing keyboard controls for *all* the camera actions.

At least make it possible to control the camera without the mousewheel.  Just play for awhile on a laptop without an external mouse and you'll see that a bunch of controls cannot be done.
