Hot female battle gear

Hot female battle gear

Not the highest priority but it would be nice. Gear in general is pretty bland and having girls in armor that don't look just like the men in armor adds some flavor.

Isn't this entire thread utterly useless and something modders will take care of in short order regardless of your tastes in apparel?

I'm sort of new on this forum, and I never ever post anything. But I thought this was an interesting and somewhat hilarious thread, so I'll put in my 2 gildars. Also, having female armor that actually looks female is on my top ten "wish list" for this game (also being able to keep my daughters instead of marrying them off like cattle). Although it's obviously not a top priority right now, which is the way it should be.

And in case you're wondering (I know you are! Don't deny it!), I am a woman, and I am a huge gamer.

I've read every single post so far, and while most of it is funny, it seems that most people agree: there should be armor in the game that shows the female figure without showing a rediculous amount of skin. I think someone mentioned that women who play games typically like their characters to look good, it's true (although I don't want to generalize, I'm sure some women don't). I was annoyed with the vanilla armors for both Morrowind and Oblivion and I immediately picked up the mods that made them more feminized. Same is true for some of the armor in Fallout 3. I think games like Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2 actually do a mostly good job of making female armor look nice, but also not "offensive" to women (and of course I'm not including any modded material made by the community). As far as Japanese anime goes and the women on them, I won't get into that (although I am half-Japanese and I grew up in Japan, lol).

But of course I believe in "to each his own" or her own or whatever if you're the politically correct type. So I'm sure someone will make the "chainmail bikinis" somewhere on here; I won't be getting it, but I also won't mind it! So all you people out there thinking that having unshapely "masculine" armor for females somehow "attracts" women to the game or something...where are you getting that from? Unless you're a woman yourself, and think that women should also look like men as well as fight like them...
IMHO women are not attracted to "masculine female armor" but are instead repulsed by "overly feminized female armor".

Anyway, I would just love to have my female sov and my female troops look equally as awesome with full gear on instead of looking like creepy men with women's heads. And on that note, it would also be awesome if egalitarian factions could have male and female troops mixed in (I like my guys, too!)...and if I make a custom faction, why does the "egalitarian" option take a point? Shouldn't it be free? Or do they think that we should be penalized for being open-minded and not insisting that women should stay at home and have children all day?....okay, rant over...^_^'

...I love the Sisters of Battle pic that someone posted! Awesome!

I agree that female armor should be sexier. Or not just the armor, but females in general. I tried playing a female sovereign, but I had a hard time not making her look like a ladyboy. You know, female upstairs, male downstairs. The female faces should be sexier, with some makeup, better facial features and so on. At least some of their lighter armor like robes and shirts should have a cleavage at least. It's small details, but it would make the game a lot more fun and varied. I managed to make my female sovereign acceptable after a while, but it wasn't easy.

Maybe osmeone can do some modding? :)

Heels solve all problems.

Which is a large annoance because its quite a change in walking style and 3D bone structure (for animation) so its not easy to take a flat foot skeleton animation and give them heels. That means games like WoW can't put heels in as an option and EVERY castantic female in TERA has to have a 6 inch spike stiking out of thier feet ... which is nice...

BTW in response to "overly feminised female armours" I say that the majority, from what I've seen, would like to have the choice and options to build thier character the way they want to. The biggest arguments against 'exhibitionist' armour is that they don't want to be/play an exhibitionist. Maybe it makes them feel uncomfortable dressed like that or whatever. It would be nice (and usually isn't the case) to simply be able to choose from a large range or at least a set of diffrent styles (you could just put some alpha layers over the same outfit to make it show more skin for example).

Egalitarian doesn't make your armies all girls.  Hit the refresh button below the display picture to get different settings and you'll bounce around various defaults for both male and female units.

I don't like the whole armor mechanic, what they look like is proving irrelevant.  I can't design high agility units...

Lol I know that egalitarian doesn't mean all the units have to be female, I was just saying I'd like there to be both male and female units in one army. So it would be automatic. That way, when I recruit a unit in game that I designed to be female, they will sometimes come out as male. So when I have a huge army walking around, there will be both genders for each class. It just adds a little variety gender-wise. I'm sure some people would prefer to have "amazon" armies of only female soldiers, or only male armies, but I hate to design, say, an archer unit that always comes out as one gender whenever I recruit them. The only way to change the gender is to design a new unit with the other gender. It just adds a little variety. I actually don't care too much about this whole idea, I was just adding it to my rant.

Awww, thanks.

It's nice that some really understand and appreciate it.

Attractive armor does not necessarily mean objectified.

My idea when this game came out for a custom mod was an all-female army in Miko outfits, with leaders who dressed differently.  Not really a lot of skin, but still attrractive and all that.  Was also thinking my Sueng Mina custom in SC4 (though using Mina online was masochism)

Some of the female armors in the "old armor" mod look really good, 1 in particular (the one with the quiver) looks awesome. Makes you wonder why they didn't put it in. I usually keep leave my females in their normal clothes (some of those look nice atlest) and give them bows. The heavy armors look terrible on females. They don't even look good on males sometimes.

Seconded. Also need armored skirts like the one Saber wears:

Nice - I'd love to see more of that in the game.

Heh miko. Would be interesting.

Sometimes it's the small things that make a difference.  Imagine WoW without the ability to dance.  Gameplay might be the same, but you wouldn't have half as many YouTube videos.

That's a funny case of when something that is intuitive and makes sense is horribly wrong. As anyone who's ever been in any sort of fight or high stress situation can tell you, if you're in that kind of situation and are distracted by unimportant details like that, you're dead. While that may seem like it proves your point, it doesn't. Pretty much any soldier worth their salt doesn't think about 'OOO BOOBS!' or 'Aw... she's cute! I don't hit women!'. They think "Mother f- is pointing a gun at me and my squad. It's a hostile target that needs to be taken out'.

And any woman who tries it in a fight is going to find that no one cares. When someone wants something and is willing to fight for it, they're not focused on your boobs.

Or to put it another way, when has being naked ever stopped someone who really wants to shoot someone else from doing so?

Now, this isn't to say that armor can't be sexy, feminine, and powerful, but as a handful of others have mentioned, this doesn't equal bikinis. A few pictures have been posted that are clearly feminine and attractive and overall aesthetically pleasing without being going into gag boobs territory. Female armor can denote and connote femininity without resorting to hackneyed ideas.

Okay, for the record I was joking :) I know it's a completly stupid affirmation BUT I give this information only to have fun, nothing more. It was just funny that in a world of gamer, no one point out a "logic" way to justify why sexy armor had the same AC than the full body plate. I also said that it was a fantasy game, not realistic. This said, there is effectivly a lot of good picture for female warrior out there. I dont have the game rigth now (next month for sure) but I think that some armor should look like some of the old armor like Greek or Roman or Japanese (samourai). Maybe just shaolin monk if there is some fistfigther in the game :).

Two out of the three are still very tasty-looking...

Seriously though, fake boobs usually look silly on most of the 'glamour models' I've seen. Its about proportion, the size of the females frame compared to the size of the boobs (unless you can get the 'pointed tear' shape then you can go several sizes above your frame - lucky you!).

Just sticking thier chest out does more than implants from what I've seen.

Err... yeah and thats why "hot female battle gear" is so nessesary, because compared to the size of the frame blah blah.

Also what about meat armour? Like Lady Gaga?
