Realistic Quendar Mod (Download Here)

Wouldn't it be cool if they looked ralistic...

Another Elemental Re-Skin by Raven X aka Raven Xavier. Introducing the Realistic Quendar Mod!!!

The Quendar in Elemental are a Race of Lizard Men, or a Hybrid Race of Dragon Men. This Mod adds realistic scale texture and really brings them to life. In the next version of this Mod I'm thinking of adding "Regeneration" as a "Race Ability" for Quendar Factions as Lizards are known for their regenerative properties.

He's rockin' that mohawk.

When I have a little more time I'm going to turn it into a Dragon Fin. I would have done it tonight but I'm too tired and need to hit the hay. This bad boy took me just about all night to do. Pixel by pixel skinning is a pain in the ass!!! LoL But soooo worth it when the results come out so sweet!!! ;)

Realistic Re-Skins of all the Elemental Races coming soon....

Not sure about regeneration. Heard a lot of lizards have really poor healing, even the guys who regenerate their tails. Perhaps their scales give them better defense stats instead?

Hey, well done bud.  Sorry, I saw where you'd left a message earlier and I couldn't get to it.  Again, well done.

I have serious issues about associating the word "realistic" to the word "Quendar" (as a name for a fantasy race/species of a videogame). O_o

That said, as a skinning work, congrats :D I'd have gone for the Quendar to Elf mod though, as the Quendar seem to be the basis for any elven mod.

And speaking of elves... I'd love an Elf race.

Hehe. When I say "Realistic" I mean from a visual perspective. The skin texture for the Quendar I used is from a picture of an actual Python snake. Glad you like it :)

Silly question. How do you get "Elf" from a race of Lizard men? The Quendar are supposed to look like Lizard people which is why the base skin has scales ;)

There will be elves in my Dragonlance Mod. We're waiting on Model Converters from Stardock so we can add pointy ears to the model. Aside from that an Elf doesn't need much in the way of custom skinning because they look human.

LoL no no no, as if I would appear to you mortals as a lowly lizard man...pfft. My true form is too horrifying for you humans to experience in a limited visual sense such as yours.

You know, now that I think about it, why would the Quendar make good Elves when they have scales? Elves don't have scales :P . I'd make the Elves out of the Wraith as they fit the shape best I think. Elongated faces, pointy ears, etc etc, With the proper skin tone the Wraith would make perfect Elves....hmmm...

cant you just put the gfx folder (with the subfolders intact) in the Mods folder? For easy organization and keepin track of whats new and whats vanilla? :)

Oh also, i hereby formally request all excellent modders such as yourself, to NEVER use depositfiles.com
Use http://www.filefront.com/upload.php, no 1 minute countdown, just instant download :)

I'll have to add a new Filefront link when I do version 2.0 . I don't think we can use the Mods folder like that yet. I tried once and failed. This is the only way I've been able to make it work. You can know it's a modded file by it's unique file name. It even survives a reinstall as long as you don't delete the left over directories.

Nice work looks great.

Would it be possible for you to make a new Thread and link all your skins?

For a bit easier time seeing whats new and updated on other skins?

I'll be doing that when Dhuran and I finish Undead Rising 2.0 my friend. Great Idea :) thanks.

Worked fine for me by putting it in the mods folder :P
The textures show up as usual, etc.

Basically like this

Mods/Gfx/HKB/Units
all the pngs

If it worked for me with all your race retextures (and my own mods), its very odd that it isnt working for you :o

Ok, wait a second. You remade the folder structure, just like you list there "Gfx/HKB/Units", stuck those folders in your "Mods" folder, and it worked?

I have to admit I didn't retain That folder structure, no. But if you're sure that works then I'll package it that way when the update comes. ;)
