Theres no respect. No repect at all....

When ever i talk to a Democrat they are fast as hell quick enough to start attacking Bush the second i tell them Im a Republican. They dont want to listen to anything I say. Me, I try to validate their statements. Most are incorrect, since a lot of them get their bush bashes off the INTERNET! They love to spend heir day riddled with Bush jokes. Do I go around constantly making jokes about the Democrats? No, I don't. There are some many other things you could do with your day. I do not hate the democrats, i just do not share the same beleifs. For them, the respect is not mutual, they just hate us.

(note please excuse any typos, for i can't type)

Hey...It's a two way street.

I never judge someone by their politics. But if you're saying that a lot of repubs haven't been doing the same thing for over ten years now, that's just naive. Politics is such a touchy subject nowadays, and both sides are a little sick of the other. I can think of a lot of repub legislators that i have a great deal of respect for...Unfortunately bush 2.1 is not one of them.

Here's a short list of repubs that fit my description.

John McCain
Olympia Snowe
Bob Bennett (Senator from my home state, Utah)
Arnold
Tom Ridge
Colin Powell

I could actually add a few more, but you get my point. Notice only one has any real serious political power. That being Big John. The rest are not conservative enough to have any real power nowadays.

Anyways, If everybody on both sides just took a step towards the center, maybe they could get something done. Until then you are going to see a lot more of this crap. Although i doubt your party will budge, with their "mandate" and all.

I grew up in a Liberal Family.... people who struggled making ends meet....dependent on Government support for Several Years...
They brought us up with this idea that Republicans were evil and up to no good, and not wanting to help us poor, minority people. People who looked down on us because they were in a better social, financial, and educational bracket than we were in. So, I will admit that for several years, I walked around with this opinion...

Now, of course, I associate with people who don't share my views or opinions, and don't agree with everything I say...and that's okay...that's one of the things that makes America great...

A Republican may piss me off once in a while, and that's alright...I have probably done the same to them...I will spend a few minutes brooding over what they said or did...then I will just move on with my day

I didn't want Bush to win, but I actually don't have resentment that the Republican Party will hold power for four more years...they gathered their people together and had the better campaign...if I blame anyone, it's the Kerry Campaign for overlooking conservative America, and the people who DIDN'T go out to vote, namely liberals who felt they would have made no difference or who thought Kerry had it in the bag....or simply who were too lazy to go out and vote.

Hope this serves as lesson for the next campaign.
