Behold mortals!!!! Your Doom approaches!!!! Fear the Dead, for they come to feast on your Flesh!!! MWhahhahahah!!!!!

The Undead Legions are ready to invade the world of Elemental!!!! Tremble in fear as they rise to destroy the lands of the living!!!

Instructions:

1. Unzip

2. Place both .png files into the C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock Games\Elemental\Gfx\HKB\Units directory. (Win7)

3. Place the CoreSkinsUndead.xml in the \Documents\My Games\Elemental\Units directory.

4. Enjoy the reign of the Undead!!!

This skin only works for Males Humanoids models. Female versions coming soon. To aply the skin click on the picture of the Skull when choosing a skin texture while creating a Sovereign. I think it looks best with either pure white skin or pure black skin if you wish to see the bones.

Throwing some random stuff out there regarding Undead Rising, if we/you were to create an undead Faction:

 

Special Units (the other factions get Spiders, Demons and stuff after all):

- Vampire (Life Steal ability -Enemy Health +Own Health)

- Zombies (Lower Action Points but Regen to compensate?)

- Grim Reaper ("Touch of Death" with insta kill ability would be overpowered I guess? But so are Dragons and Demons! ;))

 

Race Uniqueness:

- no need for Food? Other resource / tech / way used to level up towns?

- in general (when it gets implemented) resistance against piercing/slashing weapons but weakness against blunt damage? These unprotected bones shatter easier after all ;-)

- Living, "good" NPCs demand more Money to join / won't join at all?

- Enemy looses more morale or gets a general handicap when facing an undead faction in Tactical Battle?

- Healing spells damage undead units

 

Special Spell Book:

- Vampiric Touch (Life Steal ability -Enemy Health +Own Health)

- Summon dead (like Raven X already hinted at a spell to Summon Skeleton Units)

- Some Fear spell that makes the target Unit loose their turn

- A Spell that lets you control an enemy unit for a turn ("Hypnotic Gaze"?)

Man, what are you a mind reader? Dhuran (lead Dragonlance Python scripter) and I were just talked about implimenting this last night :). I'm saving a whole special Undead Faction for Undead Rising 2.0....coming soon.

I wouldn't say "grow" exactly, but still have some left over hair, sure. You've never seen a corpse that still had hair clinging to it? ;)

hehe I thought that scene looked familiar. I should have remembered that....doh!!! That used to be one of my favorite movies back in the day and was what got me into the martial arts as a kid. Those 80's movies had a way of being inspiring that modern movies just don't nail down in my eyes.

Good job Raven X. Will add it to my game now. The Mods I placed already are great and this will add in nicely. I knew E:WoM would be a Modders delight. I am digging in to the Particle Accelerator myself. Perhaps I will test some Undead particles. :)
