A scramble of thoughts....

I see news that the 60 mile traffic jam (60 miles!?!?) in China has cleared "for now"... 60 friggin miles?  How the heck you'd ever wind up with a road where you could have a 60 mile traffic jam on it is beyond me....  Shouldn't there have been some places to get off that road and/or detour around the jam?

I'm hoping for the best for the miners in Chile.  That they are alive is really a miracle.  Sadly the news that they may have to hold out for months tempers that joyous news, but hopefully all will go well for the rescue operation for them.  Yet another reminder that mineral mining is not without perils.

Elin and Tiger are divorced.  How much her relative silence is costing him is a question I'd love to know the answer to.  She probably deserves whatever she got, but who really did the work and raked in the money?

Mysterious Windows Server errors/issues stink.  We've got a server at work that has been messing up about once a week lately.  Just stops responding and refusing connections.  No apparent reason for the issues, but it has been incredibly frustrating.  It happened again this a.m. which is about one week after it last occured.  No real clues as to the issue otherwise we'd probably have gotten it fixed by now.  Blah.

Beach weekend approaches.  Another trip to my parents time share unit.  Not the best of properties, but the price is certainly right and the time spent with loved ones is precious.  I'll probably try to do some reading while there as I've fallen behind in my reading again.  Maybe play some board games with my parents if they have time, but we'll see how it goes.
