Reward for winning a tactical combat

Gildars Ability Points?

After winning a fight in the game you are shown a summary of units and their post-combat condition, as well as the reward.


One reward I have seen so far is money, "Gildar", that's easy enough, but what does "Gildar Ability Point" mean? Is that experience for the heroes? I haven't seen the current XP amount go up by the amount listed when I choose the Ability point option and comparing to a save file, so what does it actually do?

Where did you see "Gildar Ability Point"?

The crown sysmbol in the combat summary shows the XP of the units.

I've seen that as well.  Are you playing with a Thief as well?  I know they're supposed to get additional gildar from combat so I'm wondering if that's where it's from.

Thief indeed!

So, the two entries are a total I get? I always thought I was choosing one or the other. A bit like those chests in Heroes of Might and Magic I suppose. :)

 

Interesting. It being specific to Thief trait explains why it's been so hard to find info on it.
