Factions

Are there actually any differences in units in different factions? Or is just a reskinned human?

I notice one faction has death magic, but what does that mean?

Kingdoms (good guys) have life magic book, and the empire (bad guys) get death magic book. I think some group had more hitpoints listed as an advantage in the factions screen.

Each faction has starting bonuses like extra starting materials or better unit morale.

the kingdoms and empires also have differing tech trees as well..

The death worship tooltip says it grants +10hp to that faction. However I don't know what it applies that HP bonus to because units I make start at 5hp.

I don't think Death Worship works in the current build.

Empire and Kingdom can recruit different monstrous creatures - Demons against Dragons, for instance.

The Fallen have a special unit called scion, but for the moment it isn't even close to worth its cost.
