just updated to 1.01 on my i7 w764 6gb ddr32ghz ati5850
started new game new custom sov on mega with 9 opponents
at turn 39 ram use 1.56gb by elemental
ram use at start of game was approx 1gb by elemental
added err, saves & dxdiags to dmp zip
