UI Bug

When playing the campaign, I fight a battle on a tactical map against Darklings in the village SW of the City Loochnruu.  After completing the battle sucessfully, I am told my sovereign has gained a level.  The cursor under the mouse is the movement cursor for the tactical map battles.  I am unable to click on any of the point assignment buttons or the OK button.  I have a save file just before the battle, but it too large to upload to pastebin.  Oh, although i don't believe it is the issue I am running Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit.  Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 (4 x 2.66), 4GB (rounded down of course) RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280 (512MB RAM).  If there are any other details you need, feel free to ask, and I will provide.  Oh by the way, if I simply autoresolve combat, there is no problem.
