crashes + unable to update

so while playing elemental a also encountered a couple of crashes mainly when trying to load a game while one was running. but also 2 or 3 times while zomming around on the campaign map.

 

now i've rwad some other threads and checked the debug.err. it says that i also have the version from aug 17th but i can't update elemental. when i start impulse it detects no updates by itself, clicking on "Check for Updates..." also does nothing. the context menu for elemental in impulse has no option to search for updates. ingame when i login to impulse reactor the update button stays greyed out. on impulse when i have elemental selected it say at the bottom: "Updated: 22.08.2010". but i have no idea if that date refers to the release of the update/version or the date when i stalled it.

 

edit: wenn starting the game it the version at the bottom left of the screen reads 1.00. and i haven't installed any updates that i'm aware of.

 

p.s.: i can upload the 7 .dmp files i have but they all say the the elemental version is from aug 17th so i doubt that would help.

It's an error in the updated-date in the game. If Impulse says there are no updates, you're current. So go ahead and post the dumps.

The 'Updated: 8/22/2010' indicated at the bottom of Impulse is the date that we published the latest version of the game or application (not when you installed).  

If you hover over the 'Version: v1.00' in Impulse it should give you more information on the minor revision.  The currently released version of Elemental is v1.00.010; what does the tool tip say for you?  If Impulse thinks that it has v1.00.010 installed, this is why you would not see an update.

the pop up tooltip impulse lists the version as v1.00.010.

it lists the game's size as 2.20GB. the explorer however lists the elemental folder as 2,21 GB (2.383.134.720 Bytes). but i don't know if that is any indicator if the patch really has been installed or not.

 

i've already said that i haven't installed a patch manually or confirmed the install of a patch but i wasn't always present during the installation so if this runs fully automated i might have missed it.

 

should i contact the support via email now?
