Particle effects dissappear

I've noticed that particle effects disappear on me at random times. In the tile generator they will show up for about 5 minutes and then disappear (or minimizing the game and getting back into it). And I've yet to see any effect in the tactical battles screen. It's not disabled in the options so I don't know what I'm missing. Anyone else having this issue? Thanks..

Please open your debug.err file in notepad, and copy/paste the contents into a post here. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem.

The file can be found in My Documents\My Games\Elemental

Be sure to copy the debug immediately after the error occurs; if you start the game again, the debug log will be erased and recreated for the new session.
