Elemental: Updating to the Release Version!

The official release date of Elemental is August 24th. However, some retailers have broken the street date and to make sure that those who helped us in the beta as well as those who pre-ordered it don’t miss out, we are going to release a pre-day 0 version of Elemental tonight.

This version is beyond the digital gold version that reviewers currently have but it is not quite the day 0 version either.  There’s been a lot of polish, tweaks, and other improvements to the game in this version.

If you did happen to get Elemental early from retail, you will want to load up Impulse (which was installed) and update to the latest version.

This version should go live in approximately 90 minutes.

Stare and wait :)  Supposedly it'll show up automagically, but you can always bombard the servers like everyone else is doing and hammer the F5 / Refresh key!

Ahh bugger.  Finished downloading but not it's stuck extracting the first file.  Been about 10 minutes and not going anywhere :-(  Anyone else having the same problem?

I think i deleted it and forgot, cause i ordered again(I figure stardock support can help me if I get two) and i got an email but even then my invoice didnt change for stardock account

 

i guess i did preorder the other day - can see the game, no email yet

try opening impulse, then from option tab on far left hit check for updates. either that works better or i was literally getting it seconds after i could cause i hit f5 to refresh a few seconds before i did from options

Hey woca, not sure I understand - if you're concerned you haven't been charged yet, they don't charge for pre-orders until the game is available for install (digital) or shipped.

yea i forgot that, so the not being charged was irrelevant, but since i deleted my confirmation email(At this point im pretty sure i preordered the other day, so i had to have deleted it) i had no proof of purchase and was panicking. so now i guess im gonna get another key and have to talk to customer support

some numbers for you guys

 

I preordered maybe a week ago, maybe less.

that order number was 17003**

My order for just preordering tonight was 17106**

 

I got my email and could download the game at 11:50 eastern time for the first order. each order of the 10000 between probably isn't elemental but that might give you guys some idea as to when you get yours

That's interesting, my order is 1696338 and I'm still not able to access it yet.  Perhaps there's more to it than simple timing?
