[.98] [Freeze] Freezes when starting map or tile editor

I can't seem to use either editor.  If I go into tile editor it comes up with a black screen.  In map editor, after I set the map settings and click 'create map', it freezes.  I can see the options in the upper left corner, but I can't click anything.  In both cases, the task manager shows the game as 'not responding'.
