  • 2. Banded 8. J-boots
  • 3. Skaled Helm 7. Plenor
  • 4. Vlemish
  • 5. Unbreakables
  • 6. Nimoth Chest

LORD EREBUS

Assassin:

  • 1. Bite 1
  • 2. Coven 1
  • 3. Mist 1
  • 4. Bite 2
  • 5. Bat Swarm 1
  • 6. Mass Charm 1
  • 7. Bite 3
  • 8. Mass Charm 2
  • 9. Mass Charm 3
  • 10. Bite 4
  • 11. Mass Charm 4
  • 12. Bat Swarm 2
  • 13. Poison Blood 1
  • 14. Poison Blood 2
  • 15. Muddle
  • 16. Vampiric Aura
  • 17- 20 Whatever

Items:

  • Favor: Blood
  • 1. Monks 9. Bishops
  • 2. Skaled Helm 7. Plenor
  • 3. Banded
  • 4. Vlemish
  • 5. Demolishers
  • 6. Unbreakables
  • 8. Nimoth Chest

Note: I encourage getting Dems early because it adds a significant DPS to erebus. Assassin Erebus can be played many ways and my build can be deviated from with great success. The biggest suggestion I would say is getting Bat Swarm 2 at 10 because if offers up better ganking opprotunities and escape methods.

Mist Minion:

  • 1. Bite 1
  • 2. Coven 1
  • 3. Mist 1
  • 4. Bite 2
  • 5. Charm 1
  • 6. Coven 2
  • 7. Bite 3
  • 8. Improved Conversion Aura
  • 9. Coven 3
  • 10. Bite 4
  • 11. Batswarm 1
  • 12. Batswarm 2
  • 13. Mist 2
  • 14. Mist 3
  • 15. Mist 4
  • 16. Charm 2
  • 17. Charm 3
  • 18. Cham 4
  • 18. Muddle
  • 19. Improved Conversion Aura 2
  • 20. Improved Conversion Aura 3

Items:

  • Favor: Blood
  • 1. Monks 9. bishops
  • 2. Skaled Helm 7. Plenor
  • 3. Demolishers
  • 4. Vlemish
  • 5. Unbreakables
  • 6. Banded
  • 8. Minotaur Kings
  • 10. Nimoth Chest

Note: This build is a bizarre one to play right. the general idea to approach a 1v1 fight is to bite, go into mist, attack the opposing DG with minions hopefully replenishing the dying ones with creeps killed by mist, come out of mist, bite, and AA to make them retreat. In this process you will most likely yellow or lose the flag the general idea is to yellow it and make them retreat from the combined DPS of Mist and the minions. VERY HARD TO DO THIS BUILD EFFECTIVELY, I have not played this build extensively but it has potential and diviating from the Build Order is recommended to try new things.

QUEEN OF THORNS

Cows Aggro Style (IMO one of the only ways to play qot):

  • 1. Shield 1
  • 2. Ground Spikes 1
  • 3. Summon Shambler 1
  • 4. Ground Spikes 2
  • 5. Mulch 1
  • 6. Spike Wave 1
  • 7. Ground Spikes 3
  • 8. Save
  • 9. Save
  • 10. Mulch 2, Ground Spikes 4, Spike Wave 2
  • 11. Shield 2
  • 12. Shield 3
  • 13. Shield 4
  • 14. Save
  • 15. Mulch 3, Goddess of Thorns
  • 16. Summon Shambler 2
  • 17. Summon Shambler 3
  • 18. Summon Shambler 4
  • 19. Entourage 1
  • 20. Entourage 2

Items:

  • Favor: Blood
  • 1. Monks 8. Bishops
  • 2. Skaled Helm 4. Vlemish
  • 3. Banded
  • 5. Unbreakable Boots
  • 6. Plenor Battle Crown
  • 7. Nimoth Chest

Notes: Shield is used to take the brunt of burst damage, you see TB casting Fireball shield it. The idea with this build is to stay in open form as much as possible to deal the most damage you can before retreating into closed and going into survival mode where you spam shield and mulch. Mulch can also be used to clear creep waves when your not in a position to use Ground Spikes ( when your attacking portal towers ). Try to get mulch to do its damage as much as possible, people don't account for mulch damage especially the 800 it can cause at level 15.

Extra Note: There is another item set that requires 3 helms, I have been forced to go to 3 helms on several occasions in high level matches because you require so much more mana. Drop Banded armor for another helm, Usually skaled helm until u can afford Hungerlings but if you must have more mana get vinling helm.

Quoting GM-McShane87, reply 18Try staff of renewal and no boulder until 11 with Rook sometime, you need any combination of Oak/Sedna/Ereb/UB as teammates for it to work best.  You might miss out on a kill or 2 from not being able to stun, but it's the ultimate in pushing power if you're crafty enough to land some hammers without the boulder first.

Sounds like your taking shoulders over boulder at 5 and 10?
Yea you just gotta play it by feel, even if you get boulder at 10 and go 3 hammer, 3 towers, and trebs, I particularly like it as a counter to vial Rook.  Since you're not likely to interrupt his vial anyway you can smash all his towers with hammer and rape him with your towers.  This is pure flag holding and pushing though, not easy to get a kill unless someone throws themselves out there.

shane shane you and your rook^^

I guess that must of be your approach to games hedgie,"If I get beat by something it must mean its OP." I would have loved to see anyone attempt a doge walker rush. It had to be one of the most micro intensive and difficult builds to execute.

Glass dragon, you can only can have one out at a time.

Yes you can kill it but transitioning from ground units to almost pure pirata / nullifier  to kill it is sort of a pain.

wait so.. why would you get tracking bug with aa reg?  For all the times that you're going to continually snipe harass w/ 1 lvl of snipe and maaaybe 1 helm? lol.

I would rather have it so I don't miss a really stupid kill than not have it. It also allows for scouting which I find is nice but in all seriousness AA reg is a bit of a joke anyway.

yeah - only a reg that gets to feed a bit can get him suped up to the level of awesome - and an aa reg probably isn't going to get a bunch of kills unless the opponents are weak.

I really can't afford tracker in my aa reg build though.

Added a Slam rook and Assassin Erebus.

Thanks, Cow. I'll try early Dems next time. In fact, Erebus is so powerful and safe, I had no problem playing him in relatively skilled matches once I've learned to Mist longer animation skills... But more dps is always very nice.

I think it's the only top-tier DG I'd be willing to play more or less regularly, beause at the very least it involves some micro-management and a totally unique skill (Mist). I find UB and Oak overpowered (in a stupid way: you don't have to work hard to whore that Shield III, for example) to the point of being game-breaking, and while an efficient Rook surely requires a skillful approach, I cannot play him for shit

Rook is very easy to play one way (tower rook) other rook variations take more skill and practice. Rook is my favorite DG because you don't HAVE to get towers to be make rook useful. He has a very large diversity in Item choice and skill selection. Thats probably why I play rook like 8 different ways.

Mist Minion:

Great! I want to do this. Does this Erb really need BotF? Mb one of the mana-boosters or minion dmg?

Go right ahead and try new things out for this build. Its more of one of my crazy ideas that worked a few times then a build that I play regularly.

Hahaha! Yes, yes! But I have to find a suitably stacked team first, since I'm amazingly ineffective and my Mist will probably drain life out of my teammates and transfer it to the opponents. Sad, but true. Ask brasher, if you don't believe me.
