Custom Mod GameInfo Error [SOLVED]

I'm piecing together a mod of my own using bits and pieces from various other mods. However, due to my limited coding skills, I'm using the new files under the file names of the original files (CapitalShip_TechBattleship, for example). I've got them all in game, and that's fine. However, I wish to change their weapons and abilities, but whenever I place a '.entity' file (specifically CAPITALSHIP_TECHBATTLESHIP, etc) in the GameInfo folder, it causes the game to MiniDump before I've even started.

This is a really big problem in the road to getting my mod sorted - without being able to get these files to work, I won't be able to change the sounds, weapons, abilities or stats of any of my ships, effectively just making the mod a superficial one.

Any advice?

Where did you get the game files to work with? If you used the reference data from this website it is out of date, you need to get it elsewhere or convert it yourself.

I took the files straight from the game.

Post the file giving you trouble or email it to me. If i cant find the problem I will post it for others to see.

Ah, I've tried the reference files, and it's fixed the problem - my mod can move forward again.

Still having trouble with the sound files now though - I don't have the time or patience to sit down and determine which files need converting and which don't.

Once I've selected the remaining sound clips, would I be able to send them to you then as just one big bundle?

YUP depending how big the file is. I think my email is 5 or 10 mb. or if its larger, upload to filefront or get me on MSN messenger and send it that way
