Weekend concert was fun... and some digusting...
The concert for the past weekend was fun... Brooks & Dunn: The Last Rodeo Tour (2010)... their farewell as a duo. First time I'd seen them live. I hadn't really been a huge fan of theirs though I like many of their songs, I was slow to the party in becoming a fan of their work as, until the 2003 or so time frame, I was more of a Rock & Pop fan than I was a Country music fan. Lately my tastes have run more towards Country, but there are still Rock & Pop groups I like (though I have a strong distaste for much of the Top 20 type music nowadays...)
If I can figure it out, I have a few pictures that I can show from the concert.

Thompson Square (Keifer & Shawna Thompson) opened the show.

Gary Allan finishes up his set (he was one of the opening acts... after Thompson Square and before the headliners).
And the headliners come out and begin the show...

Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn (Brooks & Dunn) start the main show.

Ronnie Dunn plays AND sings!

Kix Brooks takes the lead for a bit
That should do for some concert photos ![]()
Now, on the digusting side... No, nothing at the concert. Things were good there. Traffic actually wasn't as bad as I feared, even staying until after the main concert (but not the encores, sorry, didn't want to chance getting stuck in the traffic!!) Nah, things were great there. Now I gotta circle back around to the puppy front...
Ah, the puppy... I don't think I've included in photos of the puppy dog here. If I have, forgive my failing memory. If not, then the one that follows should suffice.

Fear me!!! FEAR ME, I TELL YOU!!!

Showing her softer side, or is she trying to bite the hand that feeds her?
Ah, yes, a little fur-ball is she. We took her to the vet this weekend for her "first" puppy check-up and to get her required vaccines and such. And the check-up revealed... ta-da! WORMS. Ugh. Digusting. That's the disgusting that I mention in the subject line. Nasty, nasty, nasty. Not unexpected as many animals get worms, but still, parasites are digusting. Thankfully the meds that the vet provided are doing their job and have flushed at least two worms through the pup's system, but double ugh when you see a pile of excrement and see a long thin *moving* strand in it. Blech.
Hopefully puppy will cooperate with taking the meds. She's been pretty good about it, though she fights taking the liquid from the syringe that it is dosed in. If we (my daughter and I) can get her to sit back and take the meds without having it leak all over, it seems to (obviously) work well.
A few more weeks until the follow-up check-up and next round of shots (boosters I believe) and then as she keeps gaining some weight we'll get to start her on flea and tick treatments, heartworm meds and all of the other fun stuff associated with a doggie.
