P.S. if a moderator would move this to the "mod" section of "general" whichever. I'm not sure why it went into the "ideas" section...certainly not my fault O:)

Quoting NTJedi, reply 22I see several individuals posting screenshots, but they're not providing any location where we can collect them.  The title reads for sharing your creations... not bragging about your creations.
Jedi, the intention of this thread is to see what people are creating. We can learn from each other to everyone's benefit. Please share if you have any, I'm interested in see what everyone is doing with the editor.

John, I really like the "viewing room" on the left. I might use that idea sometime

dsk, you really pulled together a full scene. The guy sitting on the house is pretty funny. I'm still learning how to properly apply people and you seemed to have nailed it.

- Othello

Thanks and I agree that dsk's is very well thought out. A Nuthouse indeed. Your Dragon Head fountain idea is very cool as well. Would make a solid Goodie Hut.

I started another last night and will post if I can get it to be the way I want it.

Question? How do you get the people to stay visible at anything but a rather tight Zoom level. I placed some guys but they don't show up when I zoom out?

Add me too the Special Effect question as well....

I would like to know that too. But they are visible for half a second after zooming out, so be quick with the printscreen key and you will be able to at least make a screenshot (that's how I made mine).

Here is another attempt. The Hive Shrine. :)

Well the title should read "Show your Creations" because "Share" sounds like others can use them.  If I tell someone I will share my truck with them obviously it doesn't mean just showing them my truck.  At least strawbdragon provided a link for downloading his creation, so we have at least one who is "sharing".

Ok jedi.

These look great!  As a non-beta player, these tiles are all I have to hold me over until the 24th.  I need MOAR!

I would gladly link to the ones I posted Pics for but I have to admit, I don't consider them finished and fit for actual consumption. It has been what? 2 weeks the Tools have been out. Hell I am still trying to figure out some rather minor stuff just to see how it works.

If, and when the time comes, I will gladly use Impulse to upload some, a boatload I hope, of useful Tiles. For now I am still on the bottom of the Learning Curve.

I must say thought, it is "Highly Addictive" stuff these modding tools.

@ Ahrimahn

I will (Show) another when I get home. :)

Another, albeit a fanciful one on my part I present "The Way"

I tried to keep this one simple, and I'm pretty happy with the outcome. I went for something I had personal experience of, a farm/barn. Although I've never had an personal experience of a jousting arena I thought I'd wing it, it's on the right. No dragon sculls, no ghostly fogs, a plain old barn I might pass going down IL Route 72.

Stupid Question. The part that's outside of the white tiles in the pic. The rail with stones around it. When you place that tile on a map does that part show up or is it cut off?

Amazing detail on that one John_Hughes!

It shows. You can put stuff outside the tile if you like. The only problem I see with this is that it might collide with another item, say a bunch of trees or a city hex, and then look a bit funny. But I'm not sure, haven't tested in game yet only in the editor. I really hope there wont be any major problems because I like placing stuff outside the tile to make that square look go away...

Thanks. Hard to show all of it. It may be a bit cluttered but I was trying to see how the # of objects affects load time on a map. No worries.

Any ideas for Tile Themes? That one would be impractical by itself on a Map but might fit somewhere on a Theme based Map perhaps

Hmm, well you can't say for certain it shows in game if you haven't tested it yet :P I need to know for sure before I start some of my bigger tiles. All the tiles I've done so far don't have anything outside the grid. I'd like to do some with stuff outside the grid but I thought I'd see if anyone tried yet.

Sorry my tools are too buggy to test this. I have to start a new game, hope that it doesn't crash, go to main menu, start tile editor, make a tile (old saved tiles dont show up), go to map editor, hope that it doesn't crash, make a new map with the new tile, start new game, load the map, and then it always crashes.  :annoyed:

Feel free to test it yourself though. :)

Wow there are some very good tiles here... Nice work all of you...

This stuff is damned addictive. "The Bone Yard" is below. :)

I really like the scale in The Bone Yard John. This must the the graveyard part of the thread.

This is my Desert Graveyard. I was gonna have a mausoleum and it would probably be in there if I could find one with an appropriate color scheme. I'm glad I couldn't find one. I think the simplicity is most appealing to me (although John, the chaotic path tile is really great), after all a desert graveyard would probably be desolate.

Has anyone else experienced the disappearing crystal phenomenon when switching between grassland tile base to swamp or the like?

LoL, yeah, I haven't tested it myself for Exactly the same reason you gave. Waiting for release for stabler tools to work with.

Thanks Othello. I do like the Simplicity in yours as well. The Mom and little guy sitting there really sets the Tone. I have a guy digging a fresh hole but you can't see him... :)

I was wondering what to do with the rest of that Tile and yours gives me an idea.

Good work sir. :) Keep sending them in.

Do you have a Pic of the Crystal issue?

Ditto here!  fortunately not too many days left.   I had made a nice Cave with many nasty spiders crawling around (on my third attempt) was getting ready to save it and poof, gone...  I have more instability with the tools then beta 4.
