Uninstalling My Colors

this is my second time uninstalling my colors and i have encountered some problems. so basically this is what i did

  • uninstall.exe is nowehere to be found
  • but there's an uninstall config settings file (which only shows a txt file)
  • uninstalled the program using ccleaner
  • nothing significant happened, Stardocks folder is still there
  • so i tried use add/ remove programs but the application can't be detected even tho it's still there

basically that's my problem. my previous theme, going green, can still be seen like in my folder icon but i already set my theme into the windows 7 theme. i just want to uninstall it properly to get my original settings back. thanks.

If you used Impulse to install it, you need to use impulse to uninstall it.

At this point you may have to re-install thru Impulse to correctly uninstall the program.

oh that's one thing I forgot to mention.

I didn't install this program thru Impulse.

Lantec is right. MyColors shares some files with Windowblinds (or has in the past), so your WB may become wonky. Do as he suggests, kimii33.

Try removing MyColors completely by running this removal tool:

http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/odnt_zapper.exe

You'll need to right click and select "Run as administrator" if you're in Windows Vista or 7.  Once you do this, you can reboot and reinstall.
