No Text issue affecting multiple people

This has cropped up for me 3 times in the past week.  Everyone can join the lobby, game starts.. then it says the map name with subs "[No Text]" directly below it.  Each time it is resolved by deleting game.prefs, but I guarantee there are people who don't know of this solution and don't know where to look to find answers.  Not only is it highly annoying to redo game settings every couple days.. but I wouldn't be surprised if this is a reason why some people aren't playing the game at all (once you acquire it through multiplayer you can't play single player until deleting game.prefs or reinstalling).  They just can't start games nor figure out why.  It seems to spread to anyone in the lobby the original infected person joins.  Is there any hope at all this could be fixed and patched?  

Has a reason been found why this happens?  I would like to help if possible, but I have no idea how other than to bring it to your attention.

Only happens to me when I play Russians... so it is probably a hack... or a problem in localization. ;)

yup.  It spreads from player to player.  If someone gets it, doesn't fix it, then tries another MP game, sometimes other players end up with it.  If you ever see no text, its best to just delete game.prefs anytime you encounter it (which is pretty infrequent).  remember to change your video settings and mods back on.
