Skin works in Skinstudio but parts are broken when applied?!?

Try adjusting margins and content margins on those parts. It sounds like they may not be stretching properly.

are there any guidelines out there on what margins are allowed for certain parts? because I don't think any of my margins are whacked or anything...they're all pretty standardized. And they stretch/tile alright in SS.

If margins are set overlapping you will get black areas.
try loading the default image or importing a new image,sometimes that will clear a prob and let you reimport the image you want.If you can get a different image to work,try putting your image in that file instead of importing your old file.

ok...I'll give that a shot...BUT...that dont' make sense for the horizontal scrollbar vertical dot...The vertical scrollbar horizontal dot shows, but the horizontal one dont...and they're from the same file.

The scrollbar is because you use a trail, probably the others are too

Well, I have no clue why this is happening....I'm open to soem actual suggestions.

Arcana, tell us what the dimensions of your tab item graphic is (each individual frame) and what the margins and content margins are set to. (They come out black, right?)

You probably use a trial of windowblinds, and because of that you can't runn the full themes.

yeah, if he sees black peaces he has stretched them too much, or the image is not the right size

nope...no trial..I'm runnign full object desktop and I recently upgraded to SS Pro.

The ones that show black are:

System Buttons 128x28 for each frame, margins L:15 T:6 R:15 B:6
Tabs and toolbars use the same image with same settings...

whats the min/max size of those particular images and is there an updated list of what those sizes are somewhere?

oh btw....that still doesn't explain the scrollbar gripper image missing...it shows on the vertical scrollbar but not on the horizontal one.

ok...I'm currently using doublet as my wb skin....I opened it up and the pushbuttons are 375x22 for the whole image...which makes each one 75x2...I shrunk mine down to 64x22 for each frame...still they show up black...does this image HAVE to be a .tga?

hmm....it was either the transparency or the .tga...I changed it to .tga and it worked....weird.

and no image has to be a .tga,they just look way better for some things because of the antialiased transparecies.

I still can't get the little center piece to my horizontal scrollbar to show up.

it has to be enabled you might have it turned off

nope, thats not it...its enabled...and I even tried disabling it...saving, aplying, and then re-enabling it...no dice...it won't show up.

sometimes you can edit the code directly and remove the image that dosnt work, save ,then reapply the image you want.Or try renaming the image and reimporting it.
