I started this so I dont polute the Documentation thread and have it take forever to get through the garbage.

Anyway, my question is... what is the log off/shut down "flag".

It's the little XP logo, in the right top corner of the logoff/shutdown dialog window.

I think this supplemental thread is a great idea SC.....
I want to discuss the subject of Magic Pink on the logoff flag. Brainiac sez, you can't use it, but I used it on my latest skin (kX82). So, I'm wondering.......... does the pink show for you guys?

Koasati, the magic pink is not showing for me on log off or shut down. But when I changed skins using the Appearance tab of the Display Properties, I get a little thin slice of magic pink at the very top and the very bottom of the flag on the Please Wait panel. I normally don't change skins that way, because I usually change by right clicking on the WB tray icon and using the advanced dialog that comes up when you click Configure WindowBlinds. I don't get the Please Wait panel doing it like that.

I used magic pink in the flag on my last skin, Romulus. I never saw it there either but it may have been because I never see the Please Wait panel. crissy said she was seeing magic pink on the shutdown flag.

Please wait is the only place you will seeit.I change skins thru properties dialog so I always see the pink. And the flag is always out of alignment.

Your best bet and what I should have said in my tip was "to satisfy all possibilities, edit the flag to a sigle pixel that matches the background of your logoff image.

where I screwed up was confusing the 'please wait' and the 'logoff\shutdown' .Magic pink works fine on the latter but not the former.

Brainiac, do you know where in the original flag area the single pixel would be located? I know that may not make sense but I'm wondering if, say my please wait panel is blue and has a 5 pixel black border all the way around, would I make the 1 pixel flag black or blue?

It sits about 5 to 7 pixels from the top right.I havnt measured it.

since its only 1 pixel you make it whatever color the border is.
